Cursed to Golf is one of the most fun roguelike games this year. While it has a fantastic tutorial it leaves a good amount to the player to learn.
The card binder can be one of the best tools offered to you and can help you prepare for a run all the way to the end. However, if you don’t use the card binder, you will face an uphill battle
What is the Card Binder?
The card binder is a way for you to store your ace cards between different runs. However, the binder can only be used at the shops throughout your run.
The binder holds up to forty cards to be used at the shop, so you can grind out runs and store your best cards. Later levels are very difficult and having some of the really good ace cards will be nice to have.
How do I fully utilize the Card Binder?
The best way is to do a bunch of practice runs to really start building intuition. If you know how to tackle the challenges in the early levels without ace cards then you can handle some of the later levels. However, you want to visit the shop constantly to buy cards.
You want to keep an eye out for really good, almost broken cards. When you run across one of these you will then put it in the card binder. It will come with practice to understand what is broken, but you will figure it out.
Once you reach the limit of great cards you will then go through, and make an attempt of going deep into the run. The last couple of levels are hard as nails, so I would save your best cards for then.
Despite this, you will still need a lot of skill to beat the game. Ace cards are almost necessary for the final parts of the game, but they are far from a silver bullet.
