Nickelodeon All-Star Brawls is one of the most fun games I have played in a while. However, the game is missing quite a bit at launch. I would say that the core roster was above my expectations, and every character is well thought out for the most part. Despite this, I still think the game could do with a little more characters added over the next year or so.
Below are seven of the characters that I think would be incredibly fun to play in the game. I am an older member of Gen Z, so the characters I want skew towards my age group.
Jimmy Neutron
Jimmy Neutron is a fan favorite Nicktoons character. I think a move set based around this character would be so fun. Jimmy Neutron could be a zoner with all of his inventions. However, the character has so much potential to be any kind of new archetype.
Timmy Turner
Fairly Odd Parents is one of the most popular Nicktoons ever. The exclusion of this series from the game is mindboggling. However, I think one of the problems is thinking about what Timmy would look like. Timmy just asks wishes, and Cosmo and Wanda do most of the legwork. Despite this, I think this character needs to be added eventually.
Rocko
Rocko’s Modern Life is one of my favorite Nicktoons, and the reboot special was fantastic. I think similar to Ren and Stimpy this character has a lot of fun moves it could have. The wackiness of the show would translate well to this game, but what kind of character Rocko would be is kind of puzzling to me. However, I think he will likely be more generic like Ren and Stimpy as well as Spongebob.
Zuko
If Zuko is added then a bender of each element will be represented. I think Zuko could be very different from the other Avatar the Last Airbender representatives. However, the problem with it could be that the series could be overrepresented.
Otto Rocket
Rocket Power is not my favorite show, but this character would fit so well. I can already imagine the fast combos this character would be doing. He could shift between different extreme sports to string together something hype. However, this character might have been forgotten by the crew.
El Tigre
Kind of an obscure choice, as this was a short-lived show on the network. I personally loved this show, and El Tigre is one of the few nicktoons that actually fight. This would be interesting and could be different from what we have seen.
Angry Beavers
The angry beavers should be this game’s Ice Climbers. I can imagine getting wobbled by two beavers already. I love a good amount of character diversity, and I wanted Ren and Stimpy to be like Ice Climbers. This is my second chance for being able to get wobbled. The moveset writes itself.
